Nursing Student Application Requirements at UPMC Shadyside School of Nursing

The UPMC Schools of Nursing only accepts ATI TEAS scores as part of the pre-admission and application process. PBS scores are no longer accepted.

In order to be considered for admission, you must score “advanced,' 'exemplary,' or 'proficient” on the TEAS test.

• In earning your Professional RN Diploma from one of our UPMC Schools of Nursing, you will have met all the necessary requirements to sit for the National Council Licensure Exam (NCLEX – RN) and move forward with Nursing Licensure in the state of Pennsylvania.

  Other states that our UPMC Schools of Nursing graduates have sat for the NCLEX – RN include: California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, and West Virginia.
